‘Love Rekindled’
Oct 14, 2023
a triolet poem about Autumn and time
Today I lit the first fire of Autumn,
logs and love rekindled all at once,
lost in time, but Autumn jabs a thumb
on the calendar. “Today,” it says “ you lit the first fire of Autumn.
Time is measured ounce by ounce,
live in the moment, past and future we can renounce.
Today I lit the first fire of Autumn
logs and love rekindled all at once.
